BY STUDENTS FOR STUDENTS
All of our trip leaders have both the leadership and first aid skills to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Trip leaders take care of all the logistics of trip planning and are ready to share all the outdoor experience they've gained with you. We run at least one of a variety of trips every single weekend.
AFFORDABLE AND ACCESSIBLE ADVENTURES
Outing Club knows that a student's budget needs to stay tight, so we have our own budget dedicated to running trips at little or no cost to you. For absolutely no charge you can come hiking, camping, backpacking, canoeing, XC skiing, bird watching, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and much more. For a greatly reduced price thanks to Outdoors Club coverage, you can also come on trips like whitewater rafting, indoor rock climbing, or paintball.
A NEW SOCIAL SETTING
Our trips give you the opportunity to meet more of your peers who are interested in the same experiences you are! Get to know your fellow students coming in your trip group as well as our student trip leaders. Aside from our trips, we also host events like skills clinics to share some things our leaders have learned, and bonfires to get to know other students coming on our trips!

Allegheny Outing Club is committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and safe club community that will actively confront and challenge racism, sexism, heterosexism, religious bigotry, and other forms of harassment and discrimination. We aim to create an accessible venue to pursue on- and off-campus adventure. We acknowledge that not everyone has had equal opportunities to feel welcome within outdoor recreation and we challenge historical barriers to equitable participation through free trips run for students, by students. We encourage individual growth through skill workshops and an organizational culture that celebrates all skill/experience levels.
